Plot: Caught in a vicious circle of deceitful promises, unfulfilled dreams, and ever-growing debts, Makis the Messiah--a failed undertaker and reckless horse-racing gambler--is entrusted with a profitable but time-sensitive task. In high hopes of wearing their jet-black suits one last time, Makis, along with a trio of down-and-out pallbearers--the freshly released from jail, Kosmas; the unsuccessful thespian, Kiriakos, and the suave alcoholic, Babis--embark on a long journey to deliver the body of a mysterious Greek expatriate to its final destination. However, there is a catch: the mismatched quartet must carry the heavy coffin from the Port of Piraeus to Boeotia on foot. Now, against the backdrop of endless kilometres of scorching tarmac and the sun-kissed countryside, the four men aspire to wipe the slate clean, dreaming of a hefty reward. But, in this Odyssey of self-awareness, only love is mightier than death. Will the four black suits learn a thing or two about life itself?
