Plot: Out of the blue, after years of marriage, the affluent industrialist, Jacques Decrey, finds out that his beloved wife, Gloria, is cheating on him with the unemployed young actor, Yves Normand. Under those circumstances, betrayed and humiliated, the wronged husband concocts an elaborate scheme, designed to punish the brazen clandestine lovers. Now, under the guise of an unknown blackmailer, Jacques demands increasingly large amounts of money to keep "his" mouth shut; however, his is a dangerous game with unforeseeable consequences. Will the truth set free those who have their backs to the wall?
Alternative Plot: A jealous man concocts the perfect plan to punish his adulterous wife.
