Plot: Intent on milking Charles Dickens' Scrooge (1951) for every drop of profit and personal success, the miserly curmudgeon and IBC's obnoxious president, Frank Cross, plans his own live adaptation on Christmas Eve. Alone and loveless, the tyrannical executive has burned all bridges with everyone, and, especially, his family; however, one little wake-up call from an unexpected ally and a stealthy nocturnal visitation of the three ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future is bound to show him the evil of his ways. But, is Scrooge capable of change?
Alternative Plot: In this modern take on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," Frank Cross (Bill Murray) is a wildly successful television executive whose cold ambition and curmudgeonly nature has driven away the love of his life, Claire Phillips (Karen Allen). But after firing a staff member, Eliot Loudermilk (Bobcat Goldthwait), on Christmas Eve, Frank is visited by a series of ghosts who give him a chance to re-evaluate his actions and right the wrongs of his past.
