Plot: The true story of Jasmine Plummer who, at the age of eleven, became the first female to play in Pop Warner football tournament in its 56-year history.
Alternative Plot: Curtis Plummer (Ice Cube), a down-on-his-luck former football player, becomes the new coach of the Minden, Illinois, Pop Warner football team. With his niece Jasmine (Keke Palmer) installed as the team's quarterback and secret weapon, Curtis has a chance to turn his life around, while the residents of Minden have a chance to recapture their team spirit and civic pride.
