Plot: In the tumultuous 1897--with Crete having gained its freedom from the Turks during the Cretan Revolution, and yearning to unite with Greece--the French madam, Rosa Bonaparte, arrives in Chania escorted by twelve of her best girls to start a brothel. As the armies of the Great Powers--England, France, Russia, and Italy--jockey for position, more and more, Rosa's bordello becomes a melting pot of different cultures, providing a safe haven for revolutionaries, allies, secret agents, and opportunists alike. However, all that Rosa from Marseille wants is a peaceful life by the sea. Will she ever see her dream come true?
