Plot: Jamie's (Emma Bell) marriage falls apart when she finds out her husband has been cheating on her. She heads home to her family with her young son in order to figure out what to do next. She then meets Whit (Nick Ballard), a man of charm and connections who becomes overly protective with her. Whit convinces Jamie that her ex-husband has plans to kidnap their son. As soon as Jamie starts to fall for Whit, she learns the horrible truth that Whit is her cousin and a paranoid schizophrenic who has been in and out of mental institutions for most of his adult life. Though Jamie tries to distance herself from Whit, her enamored cousin isn't ready to quit their love and will do anything - even commit murder - to uphold his sworn promise to protect her.
Alternative Plot: After her marriage falls apart, a vulnerable woman falls for a new man's seemingly perfect facade and she soon discovers the shocking truth about him.
