Plot: Private detective Sam Ruben's clever plan falls apart with the onset of amnesia. Everyone is trying to kill him and he doesn't know why. The classic film noir milieu now comes to you in the form of an animated feature.
Alternative Plot: This mix of live action and animation, set in modern-day Los Angeles, brings to life the story of Sam (Mark Keller), a man who wakes up next to a dead cop underneath the Hollywood sign and has to figure out how he got there. The clues as to who Sam really is and how he woke up next to a dead man add up fast, but what Sam discovers is not pleasant. He figures out that the cops and sadistic thugs want him dead. Along the way, though, he meets up with plenty of sexy femmes fatales.
